About the Early Care & Education Report

The Early Care & Education report, released in fall 2010, explores the issue of early care and education of young children in Vermont and was made possible through the guidance and support of the Permanent Fund for the Well-Being of Vermont Children, the A.D. Henderson Foundation, and the Vermont Community Foundation.

Take Action

The Early Care & Education report presents a number of ways in which your giving can make a difference in the lives of our youngest Vermonters. If you’d like to provide support for the programs and strategies described throughout the report, the Permanent Fund for the Well-Being of Vermont Children offers an easy way to do so: the Early Care and Education Fund. This fund pools charitable contributions to expand access to affordable, high-quality child care and preschool for all Vermont families; to support the professional development and training of Vermont’s early care and education providers; and to help our state’s workforce and economy prosper.

If you would like to donate by check, please make it payable to: The Vermont Community Foundation and mail to: P.O. Box 30, Middlebury, VT 05753. Please write "Early Care and Education Fund" in the memo section of the check.
